When I was reading the original texts of maria montessori, she mentioned over and over again : if we want to fix the adult world we need to provide a save environment for the children.
She had fantastic ideas like the - erdkinder plan - not too far off from the **development spaces** you propose

> **[From childhood to adolescence including "Erdkinder" and the functions of the...](https://archive.org/details/fromchildhoodtoa0000mont/mode/2up)**

But the thing is to create such perfect environments as she described is a impossibility because to create these what happens to the adults providing these? So one absolutely - important - thing is. an approach that is _intergenerational_ is needed. transformation can not happend with only “adult” , and lets be honest mid range age people to - transform - civilization!?
And yet there exist many many montessori schools already in the world who have implemented - the erdkinderplan - as a **developmental** space. But where do these children go after they finish the conceptual educational level of school? Here the spaces you propose could be very interesting but how would all these children find these? So spreading the information about the spaces you offer or related spaces to montessori schools all over the would seems like a good idea. What do you think?

I think these schools are a very nicely aligned and it should be easy enough to plug the idea of a developmental space.

Actionable Ideas - How create contact :

- Create a List of montessori schools for all countries in the World ( AI could help but as per usual this list would need a human verify)

- Online collaboration is weaker than offline so start with Paper:

- Create an actual - Paper - Flyer which condenses the idea of lifeitself course and thats understandable and _intriguing_ for children and parents

- If the Paper Concept is available use the PDF with a slightly extended introduction to email the schools

- there are probably in each country re occuring montessori conferences - these events are usually a mix of promoting and networking, so one could try to create a promo session for the lifeitself course

@rufuspollock What do you think about the Actionable Ideas?

Hi @curious_reader , it looks like you have a lot of actionable ideas, which is great. Might I suggest you take a look at this thread and, since you’re LLM savvy, plug the google docs into an LLM and see where your ideas fit in?

Finding Montessori schools is not all that hard. It just take grunt work. For example:

> **[Montessori School Directory](https://amshq.org/schools/)**

The deeper question is, how much social change traction would be generated through Montessori school organization and outreach as compared to other forms of social action? I very much like the Montessori school model, as well as many related models that are student-centric, hands-on, exploratory, non-directive, and project-driven. It’s a good model. It’s good for adult development too. So there is nothing to complain about with respect to the model itself. The resource allocation question that occurs to me is, how central would promotion of the Montessori school model be to 2R objectives in the large?

Part of that answer for me comes from the perspective that my preferred social action theories are situated, embodied, person-centric. (That itself is a Montessori-informed perspective). So how central Montessori schools are to 2R objectives is a question that will get different answers depending on personal situation. For a parent of small children looking for a school, it may be quite central. Likewise for a teacher looking to work in or set up a school. Others in different situations may have other priorities.

In my case, I do seem to be involved with a few different activities that are generally consistent with Montessori’s philosophy, without branding themselves as Montessori schools. I’d be curious what others here think of Montessori, Montessori schools, or other types of education that work in comparable ways.

Thank you for sharing this Post as a Puzzle Formation , as an offer to fit in puzzle pieces. Funny enough I was just doodling some sketeches and would came up roughly with a similar structure ( recursive feedback loop that evolves fractally. I’ll respond in the thread you shared.
