Hi @Mars there may be space for a lot of things to be said on the topic of AI.
For now I want to call a kind of maternal wisdom into this space.
If you are in the UK you probably know Phoebe Tickell?
Have you looked into her work, recently? Moral Imaginations. General 3 — Moral Imaginations She shared a project report, with if I remember correctly - interesting - Application of AI:

Last Year My Family and myself we went to visit some friends in UK. I remembered that Phoebe mentioned Schumacher Collage I also went there - Darthington Trust what a beautiful place!

And why in the world has this post been “flagged” ?

Don’t know. But here is some Discourse documentation to suggest why:

So are you saying the “system setup” did it by itself - so just some bad default policies??

The general Discourse philosophy is new users have a low trust level. So I’m guessing things like external links, images, lots of posts in a short time frame might trigger some anti-spam bot in the platform. Trickling in vanilla text posts for awhile tends to elevate trust levels. Meanwhile, admins can clean up flags manually, but that assumes admins with personal bandwidth to do that sort of thing, which may not be the case.

Thank you for explaining this to me. What a broken system, it even can’t import trust.

It happened to me as well.

That’s the title of my song, also on Spotify, Apple Music, all other platforms… Working on a music video

Did you find the time to look at phoebes work at moral imaginations?

Yeah, naturally, we met at various festivals.

Interspecies Council is a cool idea, in fact I put something similar in the lyrics:

Everyone is the source,
Not every source can talk
Not all who talk can walk the walk

It’s been a few days of consistent work. Loads of patience. Learning new software, improving my tooling. Hope the final result will be worth it…

My post from 2021: Aligning incentives of media - personal reality filter? - #9 by marsrobertson - Humane Tech Community

From retrospect, I wish I was better at promoting the :light_bulb::light_bulb::light_bulb: I’m representing… As an excuse: singularity doesn’t happen very often, it is only recently that I’ve been investing loads of time and energy into AI. It definitely helps with critical thinking, fact checking, connecting ideas and scaling impact in an exponential way.

Empires in the late stage collapse are becoming more unhinged.

Peaceful revolution, the world is ready, and I’m doing what I can to make it even more ready.

Thanks for sharing the video. I’ve posted an AI summary below for those who may wish to respond to particular points.

The video features a talk by Mars Robertson at unDavos 2024 titled “Peaceful Revolution unDavos 2024 Ignite Talks”, outlining a roadmap for a global, non-violent systemic transformation.

Key Themes & Ideas

  • The Need for Radical Change: Robertson emphasizes that the current global system is self-terminating, leading toward extinction due to systemic issues like the climate emergency, global interconnected risks, and societal polarization [00:30 Opens in a new window ]. He rejects the traditional, forceful definition of a “revolution,” arguing instead for a peaceful, groundbreaking paradigm shift [01:00 Opens in a new window ].

  • Flaws in Global Institutions: The presentation highlights that legacy post-WWII institutions, such as the United Nations Security Council, are no longer fit for purpose [01:47 Opens in a new window ]. Additionally, older climate agreements like the Kyoto Protocol are outdated and fail to address current realities [04:22 Opens in a new window ].

  • Proposed Roadmap to a New System:

    • Unified Narrative & Basic Needs: Human civilization has the capacity to achieve global prosperity, including abundant access to food, water, energy, healthcare, education, and housing [02:47 Opens in a new window ].

    • Global Mobilization: Leveraging international moments—such as Earth Day, the opening of the Olympics, or International Peace Day—to unite humanity and resolve ongoing geopolitical conflicts [03:18 Opens in a new window ].

    • Engaging Big Tech & Reforming Finance: Urging big tech companies to pivot away from toxic, profit-driven advertising toward positive consciousness programming [03:54 Opens in a new window ]. He also underscores the non-negotiable need to overhaul debt-based economic systems [04:07 Opens in a new window ] and equalize international environmental laws [04:37 Opens in a new window ].

  • The Planetary Council: The talk concludes with a call to action to build a new system that supersedes the United Nations, encouraging viewers to engage with a “Planetary Council” initiative [04:54 Opens in a new window ]. Robertson asserts that massive, “10x” radical change is entirely possible under a new paradigm [05:08 Opens in a new window ].

The question of unified narrative gets at a major point of contention that has been explored in many other forum threads. The postmodern era famously rejected all prior metanarratives. (Lyotard, most prominently). Many here want to craft a new metanarrative and unify culture around that. Is it even possible? Why would any such attempt not succumb to all the same critiques the postmodern thinkers aimed at previous metanarratives? What do others think?

You’d miss my energy, humour, nuance.

You’d miss my tone of voice, body language, everything.

Why not simply read AI summary of the movie instead of going to the cinema? :flamingo::flamingo::flamingo::flamingo::flamingo: Pink flamingos indicate irony, you made me smile.

(and plese skip text “Opens in a new window” because it does not open in a new window)

Thank you for engaging with my content, that’s appreciated, genuinely.

Just to clarify, I talk about “unifying narrative”, not meta narrative.

Something that could become an unifying narrative:

  • radical change is possible
  • it all starts from the belief
  • climate change is happening?
  • we need to establish unified version of reality

It has a name DARVO: DARVO - Wikipedia

Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender

The “waging war” wording in relation to the court is ULTRA

Netanyahu has big chances of becoming unifying narrative object.

What were the critiques previously?

I enjoy areas of beyond meta, meta-meta, arch meta, unifying theories etc… I’m almost certain that if there is a situation:

  • Group A: there is meta-narrative
  • Group B: there is no meta-narrative

And then a new meta-meta-narrative emerges unifying Group A and Group B.

One reason to post summaries is to motivate interest in the video content itself. We all get bombarded with more video links than we have hours in a day! Your video thankfully is pretty short and not demanding too much time to just view the original (which I do recommend). But for most video links that show up, one has to wonder - is this one worth the time? AI summaries are one way to establish what that time will spent on.

That’s why I make powerful images.

Aesthetically pleasing.

Funny how it loops into the title of this topic

Hi @Mars,

you seem to be versed with AI Gen Image/Video tools.

Do you know this 1:20 min clip.?

My uncle has a sheep farm. His Daughter is my cousin and she has two sons. I wanted to explain to her sons - solar punk - and hopeful visions of the future.

How difficult do you think could it be to create a Video with the local context:

  • sheep , water buffalo , chicken and horses
  • growing plants like oats, wheat

Also I want to tie in a little but the futuristic aspects of the Video like especially the robot who picks the peach fruits. I remember in the book - Seveneves by Neal Stephenson there where also self assembling robots: modular self-reconfigurable robotics (MSRR)

Instead of having big machines to work the land that consume a lot of diesel nergy I would love to show my uncle that there could be smaller robots that could combine into bigger multi purpose machines.

So theese could do:

* scouting seedlings

* precision spraying

* mechanical weeding

* pollination

* fruit picking

* transporting harvested produce

* repairing irrigation

Instead of six dedicated machines, imagine 40–100 inexpensive robotic modules that assemble into:

* a long boom sprayer,

* a four-legged orchard picker,

* a pallet carrier,

* a crawler for muddy fields,

* or a stationary manipulator.

Creating a concept video similar to the dear alice video with the animals but also these MSRR Robots, maybe 2 or 3 examples how they do stuff and then transform to the other form?

Do you think you could generate something like this?

The original clip length is just 1: 20 min that should be also enough for my Video? My uncles name is jens and my cousins name is Julia , the two sons are: theo and arthur.

Thank you for your consideration :slight_smile:
