Tent Proposal held weekly at the Oasis this month of May
Bring your crafted stories and artifacts that want to speak through you to the middle of our circle.
During the May 6, Oasis session, I proposed a tent for slow gathering around as basic relationships to being-doing work such as gardening, making berry jam or looking under the hood of an old car that needs a clever head and practiced hands. Kevin Tippet, contributed that it reminded him of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintainence and the search for Quality in life. Whit brought up the state of relaxed and precise consciousness flow as a kite surfer sharing the story of peaceful performances in complexity. Several times after we noticed the slowing down to listen into the story of another that opened heart space and allowed compassionate witnessing.
I was surprised that the group was all men at first. A few voiced that they were attracted to the idea of companioning around a practical slow job-to-be-done where intergenerational sharing had a safe and low threshold way into fields of connection.
When I invited people to this tent, I feel guided to provide a compassionate space for us to tap into collective knowing and shared energy that I think we all long for.
The group practices then

Casual intimacy where we hold “in kind regard” each other in our becoming and witness each ones creativity.

Doing/working practices to learn relationship; nature based within land&place, and with our younger and older selves

an shared intention to practice convergence without constraining while freeing up long stuck resources and energy. together engage in action research through intergenerational work.
The painting I did last September in a Flow Game and presencing through painting workshop where the tent or Wigwam is a gathering place for transformation across fields.
