Hey all, I believe folks at Life Itself are behind this article on “Life Guilds”?
I just published an article about a group in Boulder that I created two years ago called Boulder Lighthouse Collective. I sense it’s a great example of a Life Guild and very much a living example of life guilding in action. Would be curious how the article lands for folks here, and to explore the topic further!
This is really interesting Tucker - thank-you for sharing
Would be interesting to summarize against some of the key criteria … e.g. to fill in a table like this.
Criteria
Notes
Ethos: Displaying a deep commitment to personal growth, transformation, and contemplative perspective.
Logos e.g. grasp of meta-crisis, philosophies, vision, inner+outer action
Praxis: Dedicating their lives to societal transition and on the path of mastering necessary skills or taking practical action. Skills must specifically include rigorous contemplative practice.
Group size
Regular cadence of meetings (e.g. how often did you meet, in what way)
