Forethought on AI for wisdom

I am currently doing a deep dive into the research being produced by Forethought- these design sketches for ‘Angels-on-the-shoulder’ seem particularly to relevant to the question of whether AI can support the shift to a wiser society - but there is lots of other research that is relevant, e.g AI tools for existential security, collective intelligence, coordination etc.

Curious to hear other people’s thoughts on this approach.

Not for me! I like checking my moral compass with internal reflection and bouncing ideas off of people I trust. AI nag-ware is about the last thing I want installed! (Can you imagine Microsoft Jiminy Cricket wrapped into Windows 12? Can you imagine Sam Altman in charge of that?)

That said, I’m not opposed to an experimental trail run to see how it works in practice. It would not be the first technology I hated at first glance, then got used to, the ended up using in spite of myself!
