Closely connected with Gendlin’s Focusing approach.

I read Gendlin years ago, but never connected that work to developmental stage theory. Focusing seems related to noticing and other relational or reflective practices. In that sense, focusing might power a transformation from one stage to the next. But as I recall, Gendlin’s work was more non-directive and not generally pointing to any specific developmental trajectory. Or is there something here I am not seeing?
