Sharing here two podcasts that I highly recommend, one of which I also shared recently, The Emerald, which is more ‘spiritual’, and Citations Needed, which is more about ‘de-mystification’.
The Emerald is a deep dive into the ‘mythic’, is more focused on indigenous knowledge and being and relating, in a similar vein of the work of Tyson Yunkaporta, beautifully told and produced.
Citations needed is one of the best ‘de-mystification’ podcasts I’ve come across; especially in regards to the language that media/elites use to shape ideology and ‘common sense’. Extremely well researched, informative, and insightful analysis. I think you’d find it especially insightful @Martin
What kind of podcasts are others listening to? If anyone has other recommendations, whatever the genre/feel of it may be, please feel free to share them here
Just listened to the opisode 195 - it digs into my pet peeve - the aggregated, ultra-pre-processed, spoon-fed sense-making pretending to be objective, but pushing a worldview. Super interesting!
Apart from insights, the podcast offers the language to describe this mystification, so that we can break through the Emotional Incoherence Blindspot and accurately share and compare our experiences.
Integral Life by Timo Pieters - new & upcoming but very relevant
Accidental Gods by Manda Scott
Kainos by Alexander Beiner (not a pod but series of videos)
Win-Win with Liv Boree - game theory, metacrisis, systems thinking
Art of Accomplishment by Joe Hudson - self improvement, but incredibly powerful with how to cultivate oneself and the kind of leadership needed in orgs/companies (complete focus on connection & enjoyment).
He’s a bit of a bigshot - coaches OpenAI & other top Silicon Valley people, and is also deeply practiced in spirituality on a very grounded level. Amazing guy. totally next level. I preach about him to everyone I meet since I found him a month ago
