Commentary:
Your tent name should generally just match the name of the project, if your project has a name and/or existence outside of The Oasis.
Tent leaders are the people who are going to show up and host/anchor/facilitate the space.
Schedule could be “weekly” or “monthly” or defined in terms of 1st/2nd/3rd/4th weeks of the month. It could also be a set number of weeks/meetings, especially if the project’s goal is time-bounded.
Project Purpose is the goal that exists outside of the Tent, independent of The Oasis.
Activities should advance the progress of the project toward its purpose - with wide latitude towards what “counts” or makes for a “good” activity. Maybe this community-meets-project space focuses on learning about the project, or onboarding folks into project work. But we imagine that learning-by-doing and trying to actually do project work will often be the most useful option!
What do people think of having a special Greenhouse Tent
This is a place where new tents and projects can start out. Then once they establish themselves they can either get their own tent or (if a project for example) move to an existing tent once it is clear where they fit.
Does it have a leader, sourcing that purpose and dedicated to holding that space? Otherwise it’s just a “wouldn’t it be nice if…”
Also relevant, I’d like to err on the side of having tents represent specific, small, concrete projects rather than being broad interest-group containers. Broadness might seem like it attracts more people, but I believe our theory of change points more at specific energy attracting specific resonance. They’re meant to be lightweight, easy to put up and tear down and move around.
