Second Renaissance Ecosystem Resources

Hi all, I’ve created a Google Sheet that starts to pull together key resources for nodes in the Second Renaissance Ecosystem.

There are simple instructions for contributing on the ‘to do’ tab - please feel free to contribute entries - honestly I just think contributing to this could be a fun way to actually explore the ecosystem, while doing something useful at the same time. Feel free to pick a ‘node’ of the ecosystem you are interested in, and then add entries you think would be most useful to others in the ‘resources’ tab.

Feel free to reply to this forum post to discuss potential improvements to the structure and process - though maybe just to say at this stage there are probably significant benefits to keeping things as simple as possible, once we have a useful product we can then think about iterating on that.

(There’s been a bit of a discussion about using other platforms like Zotero for this, and I’ll just say a bit about why I think google sheets is good for this. 1) Super easy to share and collaborate on whereas Zotero presents barriers to entry (sign-up, browser plug-ins etc) 2) The spreadsheet format is I think a better end -product here since a)the tables can be filtered in various ways to produce custom views b) it allows for linked data tables (e.g. nodes and resources) c) it’s easily portable to other formats and d) it’s a user-friendly interface with a single-click to linked resources.)

I asked the powers that be in UTOK world for top links and got back 7. If you want me to boil that down shorter, let me know.

That’s great thanks - happy to put the 7 in now and we can see if we want to edit it down later

I love databases & resource libraries - a great way to give exactly what they are looking for any movement. As long as everyone agrees this is the document everyone uses.
