Zhuangzi — from before 300 CE

Came across a very thought-provoking article in Aeon today. “Essence is fluttering. As Zhuangzi saw, there is no immutably true self. Instead our identity is as dynamic and alive as a butterfly in flight.”

Almost feels like an ancient metamodern philosopher. If anyone fancies a read and conversation about it — or maybe someone has come across these writings already?
